Description for 2024/25

Using a guided independent learning approach, the Approaches; Methods in Health Inequalities; module aims to develop your understanding and critical awareness of key methodological approaches used in health research, as well as highlighting how these approaches pertain to health inequalities. You will gain practical skills in researching health inequalities, alongside an ability to critically evaluate health inequality research approaches and literature.

Aims
(1) To advance students¿ knowledge and understanding of key methodologies and approaches in health research
(2) To encourage critical evaluation of common methodological approaches in health research

(3) To increase understanding of how methodological approaches can be associated with health inequalities
