This module will introduce the students to concepts of public health including: the social model of health health beliefs and wider determinants of healthalternative approaches to wellbeingvalues about health (lay, cultural and religious)the underlying principles of health including social justice.

A 2,000-word case studyA 2,000-word case study which explores health and wellbeing within an individual, family or community in a setting of the student's choice
2: Presentation weighted 40%
A 10-minute presentation with a further 5 minutes for questionsA 10-minute presentation of a genogram which relates to the case study, with an additional 5 minutes for questions.
