Description of Module Assessment

1: Assignment weighted 100%
3000 word assignment
An integrated reflective assignment on educational leadership within health professional education (3000 words plus evidence, reflective patches and personal educational leadership action plan) to meet the module learning outcomes. It is based on a 'Patchwork Text' approach to writing (short pieces of reflective writing) based around educational leadership practice in relation to modular pre-specified themes, experiences of educational leadership and reflections on a range of self-assessment tools to include personality types and emotional intelligence profiles. This gradually builds up over the course of the module as the individual `patches¿ are stitched together in order to reach new understandings of the role of the innovative educational leader. This process of reflection and learning will assist students in the transition to senior educational leadership positions.
