Description for 2023/24

This module forms part of the MSc (pre-registration) Occupational Therapy programme at Keele which is an innovative programme of study which prepares the graduate for diverse practice settings.
Practice Based Learning 1 builds on previous programme content and enables the student through practice based learning to further develop and apply knowledge and skills. The module aims to prepare the student to work in diverse settings whilst also develop transferable skills (i.e. multidisciplinary team working, leadership and advance communication) that can be applied in a variety of settings and specialties.

Aims
This module aims to offer students the opportunity develop effective communication methods, demonstrate an understanding of the Occupational Therapy Process and begin to apply this to a specific area of Occupational Therapy practice.
The module will enable the student to review and evaluate their personal and professional development.

18 tutor-led active learning hours which includes:
