This module forms part of the BSc (Hons) Occupational Therapy apprenticeship programme at Keele University.Within this module learners will have opportunities to participate in, practically facilitate and justify a range of specialist and diverse occupation focussed interventions for example splinting, wheelchair provision and pressure care, group work, vocational rehabilitation. Risk management, risk enablement and health and safety are key aspects of this module.
Aims
This module aims to focus on the diversity of occupation focused interventions in contemporary occupational therapy practice. It provides opportunities for learners to justify, plan, facilitate and participate in and evaluate occupation focused interventions.

Description of Module Assessment
1: Options weighted 60%1,500 word essay or a 15 minute narrated power-point presentation.
2: Practice Based Assessment weighted 40%Justify, lead and facilitate an occupation focused 20 minute group intervention demonstrating safe practice.
