Description for 2026/27

This module forms part of the traditional BSc (Hons) Occupational Therapy and apprenticeship programmes at Keele University.
The Evidence Based Occupational Therapy module offers learners the opportunity to develop and enhance their knowledge and skills in effectively using research and other forms of evidence to support and underpin their practice as well as recognising the tools used to
evaluate services.

Aims
This module aims to introduce the learner to methods used to evaluate current practice. The module will also introduce the learner to a range of research methodologies and they will have the opportunity to appraise these methodologies. The learner will also be introduced to strategies to gather, critique and implement research and other forms of evidence into practice.

Study hours

41 active learning hours to include:
