This module forms part of the BSc (Hons) Occupational Therapy apprenticeship programmes at Keele University.This module introduces the learner to typical pathologies encountered in practice and explores the impact of life changes and life choices on human occupation and participation. The module also provides an introduction and application of contemporary occupational therapy models and occupational science
Aims
This module aims to develop the learners' understanding of common pathologies and how these impact on an individual's occupational performance and participation. Learners will also develop an understanding of and apply occupational therapy theory to human performance and participation.
Intended Learning Outcomes

100 active learning tutor led hours to include:~ 20 hours synchronous interactive lectures,~ 8 hours asynchronous lectures~28 hours synchronous workshops,~ 6 hours synchronous seminars and tutorials~ 6 hours of synchronous assessment preparation classes~ 32 hours of tutor guided independent study (asynchronous)~ 200 hours independent study
