Description for 2025/26

This module forms part of the BSc (Hons) Occupational Therapy apprenticeship programme at Keele University.
This module will introduce learners to the history and evolution of the occupational therapy profession, and will include key concepts, philosophy, values and beliefs. Learners will have the opportunity to develop an understanding of the dynamic relationship between occupation, health and wellbeing and the occupational therapy process.

Aims
This module aims to introduce learners to the core concepts of occupational therapy, theory and practice. Learners will develop an understanding of the dynamic relationship between occupation, health and wellbeing and develop an understanding of the occupational therapy process in preparation for placement.

Intended Learning Outcomes
