This module forms part of the BSc (Hons) Occupational Therapy programme at Keele University.This module will introduce learners to the history and evolution of the occupational therapy profession, and will include key concepts, philosophy, values and beliefs. Learners will have the opportunity to develop an understanding of the dynamic relationship between occupation, health andwellbeing and the occupational therapy process.
Aims
This module aims to introduce learners to the core concepts of occupational therapy, theory and practice. Learners will develop an understanding of the dynamic relationship between occupation, health and wellbeing and develop an understanding of the occupational therapy process in preparation for placement.
Intended Learning Outcomes

76 tutor led active learning hours to include:~ 25 hours synchronous lectures,~ 20 hours synchronous workshops,~ 5 hours synchronous seminars and tutorials~ 6 hours of synchronous assessment preparation classes ~ 20 hours of guided independent study (asynchronous)74 hours of independent study.
