This module forms part of the BSc (Hons) Occupational Therapy programme at Keele University.This module focuses on the development of skills, knowledge and attributes such as professionalism, communication, skills of reflection and life long learning that are essential for a health and social care professional.
Aims
This module aims to support learners to develop effective communication and interpersonal skills for occupational therapy practice. Learners will be supported to develop their knowledge of continuing professional development (CPD), life-long learning and professionalism in their preparation for practice. Learners will begin to develop an understanding of reflective practice and skills of reflection.
Intended Learning Outcomes

Description of Module Assessment
1: Viva weighted 60%10 minute communication viva with a simulated service user.
2: Portfolio weighted 40%Initiation of a CPD portfolio to include a 750 word reflection and completion of all mandatory training
