Description for 2024/25

This module evidences close working with your clinical supervisor in order to demonstrate competency in the fours domains of advanced clinical practice, education, research; and clinical leadership and management. This is achieved by completing an online portfolio spanning the duration of the full MSc programme.

Aims
To provide evidence of competency aligned to the 4 domains for advanced practice provided in the West Midlands/National Framework for Advanced Clinical Practice.

Study hours

A blended learning strategy has been adopted to address the learning needs of a variety of students and make efficient use of renewable resources across all the modules involved in the programme.
For the purposes of the portfolio there will be 20 hours of group tutorial provided to encourage inter-professional learning and access to tutor support.
There will be 80 hours of independent study in the form of preparation of evidence and construction of the portfolio.
A minimum of 78 clinical hours are required working with clinical supervisor in a health assessment role. Therefore to achieve all four domains, the placement learning hours is 150.
