Aims
Based on a research proposal, the dissertation gives students the opportunity to enact the designed and approved project. The dissertation forms a substantial part of the overall study leading to the award of the MBA. Accordingly, a high standard of achievement will be expected and the dissertation should draw on the intellectual and analytical skills and knowledge developed during the course. The module also provides an opportunity for students to develop their interests in a particular area and to demonstrate an ability to undertake individual, independent research.

Study hours

Total study hours will include 8 hours supervision (to include reading and feeding back on interim work) and independent study (292 hours). The breakdown of hours depends on the individual project that the student is working on. As the dissertation is an independent research project, the individual student is responsible for managing the study hours allocated to the module.
