Description of Module Assessment

1: Assignment weighted 50%
A written assignment of 2000 words
Students will be required to write an assignment on a topic provided, demonstrating in-depth understanding of the relevant theories and concepts and linking them to real-world examples.

2: Group Project weighted 50%
Group project - case write-up
This group project consists of a case write-up (4000 words) and a short presentation (15 minutes, formative) summarising its main themes and findings. The students, in groups of 3-5 members, will be required to choose a firm, write a case study and a case analysis with focus on one of the questions provided by the lecturer. The firm chosen for the project has to be agreed by the lecturer prior to the commencement of the project. Marks on the project will be subject to student peer assessment. Specifically, members of a group will receive the same mark in principle; in the cases that some members of the group have made exceptionally significant contribution or have not contributed satisfactorily, according to peer review results, they may receive 5% or more bonus or penalty.
