Description for 2026/27

This module gives you the opportunity to work on a real problem/project set by a local organisation. You will have the opportunity to work with the organisation, either at their premises or virtually (through online meetings) and will be expected to work towards a viable solution for the organisation. These projects can be wide ranging and are your opportunity to contribute to the success of an organisation. In doing so, you will develop a range of transferable skills and enhance your CV with relevant work experience.

Aims
The aim of this module is to enable students to work on a project for an organisation and to develop and apply their skills within an organisational context.

Intended Learning Outcomes

identify, propose and evaluate possible solutions to an identified organisational issue in appropriate depth, commensurate with the extended time spent on the consultancy project.: 1,2
reflect on and apply academic themes, concepts and theory to a complex real work project: 1,2

10 hours academic supervision
290 hours placement learning these hours will be different for each project but indiciatively may be:
