Enterprise and entrepreneurship does not happen in isolation. It is dependent upon a host of other stakeholders, collaborators and intermediaries who enable enterprise, entrepreneurship and businesses to thrive. These 'ecosytems' sometimes emerge naturally but often they are part of a wider set of policies and interventions from governments and agencies. This module will help students and emerging entrepreneurs understand and navigate the nature and dynamics of ecosystems providing them with a critical understanding of their role, function and value.
Aims
This module aims to introduce students to the wider infrastructure and intermediaries who support and enable enterprise and entrepreneurship and to explore how this ecosystem evolves and is engineered by stakeholders and partners. It will help students recognise the ways in which individual entrepreneurs and businesses are dependent upon yet also add value to the wider ecosystem.
