Aims
The Information Systems, Cybersecurity and Management module is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of information systems and cybersecurity principles, practices, and management strategies. In today's interconnected world, cybersecurity has become a critical concern for organisations of all sizes. This module aims to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to address cybersecurity challenges effectively, emphasising the integration of cybersecurity with organisational management practices.
Intended Learning Outcomes

Description of Module Assessment
1: Assignment weighted 50%Security Policy DevelopmentIndividual assignment requiring students to develop a comprehensive security policy and procedures document for a hypothetical organisation. 1500 words
2: Group Assessment weighted 50%Cybersecurity Case StudySubmission of a detailed case study analysing cybersecurity challenges faced by a selected organisation or industry sector. Assessment criteria include depth of analysis, critical thinking, application of cybersecurity principles, feasibility of proposed solutions, and clarity of presentation. Students identify key threats, vulnerabilities, and risks, assess the impact on the organisation, and propose practical mitigation strategies.
The group (approximately 5) will make a 20 minute presentation for this assignment. A group mark will be awarded for the work. An individual reflective piece of work (200-300 words) is also required for this submission.
