Description for 2026/27

Embark on a transformative journey with the Entrepreneuring module. In this module you will look at key areas of entrepreneurial performance including business relationships and networks, pitching and presenting and negotiating and influencing. You will have the opportunity to meet other entrepreneurs and understand their view of the world. You will be encouraged and supported to think like an entrepreneur and to adopt and develop the skills competencies and mindset of the entrepreneur. Both through real life and virtual scenarios, you will familiarise yourself with the dynamic landscape of entrepreneurship.

Aims
The aim of this module, is to introduce students to the key competencies and practices of the entrepreneur. The module will introduce relevant theoretical perspectives and will critically evaluate entrepreneurial practice, equipping students with the practical skills, knowledge and critical insights required to act entrepreneurially.

1: Report weighted 50%
Critical reflection
Critically discuss the competencies of the entrepreneur and assess your and others' performance during the module. 1750 words. Individual assignment

2: Portfolio weighted 50%
Portfolio
Individual portfolio to include examples of entrepreneurial performance in the context of group and individual project work along with a critical evaluation. To include for example written work and video evidence to support the portfolio. Equivalent to 1750 words.
