This module explores the theory and practice of innovation and creativity in entrepreneurship. You'll deepen your understanding of how to enhance creativity and tackle common barriers to innovation. The course covers practical tools and techniques, including brainstorming and digital mind-mapping, and examines the pivotal role of creativity in the entrepreneurial process.
Aims
The aim of the module is to introduce students to the concepts of creativity and innovation with a view to them adopting both a critical understanding of these familiar terms as well as appreciating their practical application. The module will provide students with a more sophisticated vocabulary and wider conceptual understanding of creativity and innovation. It will also invite students to adopt and apply tools and processes to generate creative and innovative outputs and to evaluate their results.

Description of Module Assessment
1: Group Assessment weighted 50%15 minute group presentation on a creative/innovative group projectGroup presentation focused on developing a creative / innovative project. There will be a group mark for all students. In addition there will be an individual mark given via peer assessment. The group mark will be 90% and the peer mark will be 10% of the overall mark. 15 minute group presentation.
2: Report weighted 50%Reflective ReportStudents will write a reflective report on creativity and innovation theory and their personal creativity and performance based on activities within the module. 1500 words
