Sport is beginning to wake up to the impact it has on the environment. However, as many sports organisations make efforts to become carbon zero, this topic and area has become crucial in the future direction of the industry. Utilising Keele University's strong background in environmental sustainability and applying this to the sports industry, this module will encourage students to critically evaluate the practices of sports organisations and their promises for a more sustainable future. Students will then consider practical recommendations, informed by academic and commercial perspectives and good practice to consider how the sports industry can become greener and therefore more sustainable.
