Aims
This module offers an exciting opportunity to explore and understand commercial law issues from both a theoretical and practical perspective. Indicative learning content includes: Domestic Sales of Goods and Supply of Services, International Sales of Goods and Supply of Services, Finance including payment methods and security, terms and conditions of business including website matters, licencing matters, data protection issues.

Intended Learning Outcomes

Demonstrate detailed knowledge of key commercial law doctrines in English Law by analysing and applying the Law;: 1,2
Critique and evaluate commercial law doctrines with reference to economic and societal concerns;: 1

Description of Module Assessment

1: Assignment weighted 50%
Essay Question (Assignment)
Students will be provided with a choice of two questions and must answer one. The essay will require evaluation and critique of current law. The word limit is 3,000 words.

2: Assignment weighted 50%
Problem Question (Assignment)
Students will have to answer one problem question which is a hypothetical scenario and will be asked to advise a hypothetical client. Word limit will be 3,000 words.
