Description for 2024/25

Aims
To guide postgraduate students to the sources and resources necessary for their dissertation, and to enable them to place their specific topic within the context of relevant debates within their discipline. Primarily intended for use with MRes Humanities programme to support work on the 90-credit dissertation.
Intended learning outcomes
An understanding of the sources and resources available for the research project.
An understanding of the methodological debates relevant to the dissertation.
Content is determined by individual negotiation between student and supervisor, to include a range of directed reading and research planning.
