Aims
This module will help students develop key practical and theoretical competencies associated with sport and exercise science research or applied practice.

Intended Learning Outcomes

Formulate an appropriate question related to the area of specialism and setting.: 1,2
Collect, analyse and interpret appropriately identified and designed quantitative and/or qualitative data.: 1,2
Demonstrate a critical understanding of the chosen research/applied area.: 1,2
Observe and adhere to appropriate standards, codes of conduct and practice when working in sport and exercise laboratories.: 1,2

Study hours

Active learning includes:
40 tutor led hours which may include:
~ 6 hours meetings with supervisor
~ 34 hours lectures, workshops, tutorials etc. and assessment preparation classes.
260 hours of independent study by the student (including applying for ethical approval, preparing private study, data collection and submission preparation)
