Description for 2024/25

This module is aimed at allowing the student to gain significant industrial experience in the application of the skills and knowledge obtained on the taught part of the course.
Application for this module is competitive and not all students may be successful in obtaining a placement.
The student may find their own placement using either personal contacts or those provided by the school and other sources. If the student finds their own placement it is subject to approval by the School.

Aims
The aim of this module is to encourage and enable students to gain work experience and to develop and apply their skills within the IT industry.

Intended Learning Outcomes

Identify, evaluate and propose possible solutions to an identified issue. This will be subject to an agreed Project Proposal: 1,3
Present and prepare a summary report jointly to the employer and faculty: 2,3,4
Work independently and within the guidelines and parameters of the sponsoring organisation: 3
