This module extends students’ knowledge of principles and practice in communications, computer network and security technologies and their deployment.The module provides valuable transferable skills in critical thinking and problem solving. The module content is applicable to those seeking careers in computing research, network security, network management and other digital communication and network areas.

To extend the students' knowledge of principles and practice in communications and computer network technologies, their deployment and cybersecurity principles.
Intended Learning Outcomes

Description of Module Assessment
1: Class Test weighted 30%Class TestThe class test will take place in week 6 or 7 in PC labs, and the test will examine students knowledge on ILO1 and ILO2, with 20-25 MCQ, and the test will be around 30 mins.
2: Assignment weighted 70%Programming AssignmentAssignment on design, analysis, and evaluation of solutions to problems in modern computer networks and data communications. A reflection report to accompany the code, both activities, has a maximum word limit of 1,500 words.
