Description for 2025/26

This module offers the opportunity to develop and showcase critical data science knowledge, skills, and behaviours through workplace projects. You will learn to apply data science principles in organizational contexts, apply governance, security, bias, ethics, and compliance, and handle real-world data patterns for decision-making. You’ll also hone your abilities to communicate effectively with diverse audiences, using appropriate support materials and visualizations, and build collaborative relationships at strategic and operational levels.

In this module you will be given an opportunity to solve a real problem using data from your company, e.g. collecting and processing real data, designing and implementing the data sciences (machine learning, AI techniques, mathematical modelling) methods and tools, applying and evaluating data techniques to solve a real problem. Throughout the semester, you will engage in modules that combine work-related and hands-on learning activities
