Description for 2025/26

This module provides students with an introduction to computer graphics and animation; and with appropriate programming and media development skills to design and develop animated media. These topics are investigated through lectures, practicals and independent study.
The module provides skills relevant to 2D and 3D computer graphics, and animation that have relevance to careers in animation, games and digital media production.

Description of Module Assessment

1: Assignment weighted 40%
Component 1 - Graphics and animation concepts
A prescriptive animation involving the display and control of graphical primitives and/or computer-generated imagery, and requiring an accompanying screen capture video.

2: Assignment weighted 60%
Component 2 - Graphics and animation composition
A creative composition involving advanced graphics, animation and control, and requiring an accompanying screen capture video.
