The module provides an opportunity to engage with the anti-trafficking movement. You will undertake work experience to develop skills in the field. The opportunity will support skill development and networking. You will gain a first-hand insight into the work of charities supporting survivors in rebuilding and restoring their lives.
Aims
To enable students to enhance their employability skills and provide an opportunity for professional development. Students can select opportunities that may include workshop facilitation or desk-based research. Ethical approval will be undertaken as appropriate.

75 hours work experience with an anti-trafficking charity6 hours workshop to prepare students for their work experience activity.15 hours structured engagement with online resources54 hours independent study, including researching the organisation and its challenges/opportunities and work on summative assessments
Students will have to apply for and hold a DBS in advance of the work experience module. Students who will be in roles facilitating workshops with human trafficking survivors will also be required to sign an NDA, as part of safeguarding protocols.International students will be required to provide an original criminal records check or a 'Certificate of Good Conduct' from the country they have been residing.
