Description for 2025/26

ENL 10038 is designed specifically to accommodate students visiting Keele for only one semester on Study Abroad, Erasmus and Exchange programmes. An initial assessment upon arrival at Keele will be used to place students into one of the following English for Academic Purposes (EAP) modules:

ENL 90006 EAP 2 English for Academic Purposes 2
ENL 90001 EAP 3 English for Academic Purposes 3
ENL 90003 AEB1 Academic English for Business Students 1
ENL-90004 AEB2 Academic English for Business Students 2
ENL-90013 Academic English for Science Students

Aims
Designed for students with strong basic skills, this module will help enhance the academic reading, writing and vocabulary skills needed for study, and will provide targeted pronunciation and oral communication practice.

Intended Learning Outcomes

Research, prepare and construct an organised, focussed and coherent undergraduate academic piece of writing using appropriate citation and referencing.: 1
