Description for 2025/26

How can I contribute to improving global health? What difference can an individual make to reducing health inequalities? In this module we will explore the roles of different disciplines in improving global health and reducing inequalities. We will examine the link between the workplace setting and the health of individuals and populations. You will have the opportunity to reflect on your understanding of how to reduce inequalities, and consider what skills are important for improving global health.

Aims
This module will enable students to explore the roles of various disciplines in improving global health and reducing inequalities. This will provide the opportunity for students to reflect on their skills and understanding of how to reduce inequalities and how to develop their own role in global health contexts.
Improvements in global health is operationalised through government and non-government organisations. This module will provide further
knowledge and understanding of projects focusing on improving global health. Through this students can examine the link between the workplace setting and global health of individuals and populations. Students can begin build their understanding of factors about groups and organisations who are working to improve global health in a workplace environment.
