This module explores the real-world challenges and opportunities involved in enterprise andentrepreneurship, offering a blend of theory, practical tools, and critical insights. You’ll learn how to identify and evaluate sustainable businessideas, understand the barriers to implementation, and develop strategies to overcome them.
Aims
This module aims to give you a comprehensive understanding of the complexities involved in opportunity recognition and the challenges associated with implementation. It offers both theoretical and practical perspectives on identifying, evaluating, and implementing sustainable enterprise initiatives in the context of new venture creation and paid employment.

Description of Module Assessment
1: Group Assessment weighted 60%Group Project weighted 60%A group presentation (3-5 students) based on at least two of the provided empirical case studies, demonstrating how entrepreneurs identified, evaluated, and implemented enterprise initiatives. The presentation should make appropriate use of the enterprise literature and models discussed in class and there should be a reference list at the end of your presentation.
2: Poster weighted 40%Reflective Poster weighted 40%A reflective poster that identifies and evaluates an enterprise opportunity, recognises the associated challenges, and outlines a strategy to overcome them. An appropriate reference list should also be included.
