Description for 2025/26

This is the final module leading to the Trinity College (London) Certificate in TESOL. The module focuses on completing the remaining teaching practicals with a class of non-native learners, analysing and evaluating your own materials and continuing to develop your linguistic knowledge. In addition, throughout the module we discuss career development and how you can find work in the UK and overseas.

Aims
To continue the development of students' knowledge of the main phonological, lexical and syntactic features of contemporary spoken and written
English.
To further develop the methodological knowledge necessary to carry out successful classroom teaching including designing tests, providing
feedback on written or oral texts and introducing the concept of English for Specific Purposes
To further develop skills in teaching practice and classroom management including observing experienced teachers
To critically analyse self-created teaching materials
