Description for 2024/25

This second year module focuses on developing ways to improve global health and reduce health inequalities. Building on the year 1 Global health module, the module will focus on developing skills to use information to develop ideas and projects to improve global health. Students will work together and focus on how to work with individuals, populations and organisations to develop new approaches to improving quality of life. This will involve combining ideas from different disciplines to propose new strategies that can be tested for their effectiveness. It can also provide the basis for plans for year 3 when students will experience working to improve global health.

Aims
To enable students to develop intellectual, practical and transferable skills, that involves using evidence, to improve global health and reduce health inequalities.

Evaluate a range of qualitative and quantitative methodologies used to guide interventions to improve global health and reduce health inequalities
