This module introduces students to the fundamental concepts and key techniques of accounting. Students will develop a knowledge and understanding of the basic principles of accounting, providing them with key transferable employability skills. The syllabus includes income statements, balance sheets and budgeting. The module is delivered through weekly lectures and tutorials.

A random selection of MCQ, true or false and short numeric questions from two big pools of questions2: Open Book Examination weighted 60%
Final exam - take away for 28hrsAssessment 2 is a takeaway exam, available for 28 hours according to the university's online exam regulations. The exam follows the normal exam structure and the questions are mainly numeric with elements of brief explanations of fundamental accounting concepts and methods. Students are expected to solve within 2 to 3 hours maximum before submitting to KLE in a Word document.
