Description for 2020/21

This module will explore how international operations and supply networks are designed, managed and controlled, as well as how they might have to adapt for different locations in the world. The module covers theoretical and strategic concerns on the development of international supply networks in practice. The learning process is facilitated through lectures, guided reading, videos, worked group exercises, and contemporary case studies.

To provide a grounding in the fundamental principles of operations and supply management.
To present comparative emergent models of operations and supply from around the world.
To demonstrate the application of operations of supply management principles in practice in contemporary international business.
To explore and critically analyse current best practices in operations, procurement, supply and logistics management.
To encourage critical thinking in the management of international operations and supply.
