Description for 2020/21

This module examines the structure and operation of the foreign exchange market, analysing FOREX derivatives and arbitrage possibilities in the FOREX. The module will also introduce different theoretical and empirical models aimed at explaining how exchange rates react to changes in macro-economic fundamentals.

Aims
The aim of this module is to extend and develop student's understanding of international finance. The module will familiarise students with the structure of the foreign exchange market, the determinants of the foreign exchange rate and characteristics of international financial markets.

1: Seen Exam weighted 70%
Take-away exam
Take-away exam which will be available on KLE for 24-hours to answer and submit your answer via Turnitin File. Although students have been given significant time to complete this exam script, we expect most students to spend no more than 3 hours to complete and submit their answers via Turnitin (with a maximum of 2000 words). Answers should be as accurate and concise as possible.
