MICRA Incubator

The Keele University MICRA Incubator Access Competition

Keele University is seeking to provide support for a number of start-up and small-to-medium-sized enterprises in applying for MICRA grant funding to access office/co-working spaces available at Keele University Science and Innovation Park.

Successful applicants could benefit from funding to offset direct costs incurred when renting an office/co-working space at the Science and Innovation Park, for a period of up to 12 months.

Applications are encouraged from companies with a current level of innovation and wanting to base themselves in office space at Innovation Centre 1 or co-working facilities at Innovation Centre 6, and to start long-term collaborations with the University and its students to assist the growth of the company.

The MICRA Incubator Support Grant

The MICRA Incubator Support Grant provides companies with lower-cost access to the office/co-working facilities necessary to build transformative technologies as economically and efficiently as possible, in order to enable them to drive the commercialisation of their research to market and can also provide funding for specialised labs, equipment and tools.  The grant enables a successful applicant to free-up resources for its ongoing development that would have otherwise been utilised for initial rental payment.

Key dates

  • Friday 28 February 2020 (5pm) - Applications closed
