Keele Women Staff Network

The inaugural meeting of the Keele Women Staff network was held on the 12th of March 2014 at an event in support of International Women's Day. The event was well attended, by over 70 members of staff. A number of individuals gave short talks introducing Athena SWAN, the Gender Equality Mark and initiatives taken by Keele. The Deputy Vice-Chancellor announced, at the meeting, that funds would be provided for an annual speaker for the Keele Women Staff network. Following the talks, there was a general discussion on the format of the network and proposed events. It was decided that there should be at least two events per year. One to welcome new women staff in the autumn semester and one around International Women's Day to include a distinguished female speaker. It was decided that men would be welcome at most events but that on occasions some groups might wish to meet in a female-only environment.

If you wish to register with the Keele Women Staff network please contact the Athena SWAN Support Officer or register with the Keele Women Staff email list.
