Ian Duhig is the award-winning author of 8 collections of poetry, the most recent of which - The Blind Roadmaker - is currently shortlisted for the TS Eliot Prize. He is a writer and teacher of creating writing at various institutions, including the Arvon Foundation.
Duhig was the eighth of eleven children born to Irish parents. He graduated from Leeds University and worked for 15 years with homeless people. Alongside his prodigious poetry output, he is also a short story writer and essayist.
