July 2014 Graduation Day
Tuesday, 15th July American Studies and English and American Literatures students celebrating together after the Graduation ceremony. The winner of this year's Charles Swann Award was Katherine Vaughan and the winner of the David Adams Prize was Andrew Joseph.
Hazel Dunnicliffe (Year 3, English and American Literatures) has been awarded the U.S. Ambassador's prize for the best undergraduate essay, 2014. Orchestrated by the Brtiish Association for American Studies, and titled 'The "broken jaw" of T.S. Eliot : An Exploration of Silence, Speech and Stagnation in the Poetry of T.S. Eliot', this was a nation-wide competition open to any work within the various disciplines that contribute to the study of the U.S.
