Admissions advice for international applicants

International students

We encourage applications from international students for MSci in Physiotherapy.

If you would like to send us an application to consider then please do so via the Universities and College Application Service (UCAS) and follow the advice listed here in application process.

For further information on entry qualifications for your country please refer to the list here.

If your country is not indicated in the list then refer to Keele University's entry requirements table which contains relevant information for students from a wide range of countries beyond those on our SHAR list.

Fees and funding

You have done your research and decided that a career in Physiotherapy is for you; the next stage is choosing your University. This is a big decision and you will probably be making a large financial commitment over your three years in terms of tuition fees and living expenses.

At the School of Health and Rehabilitation (SHAR) we aim to make dealing with the financial implications of studying in the UK as easy as possible. Our tuition fees are competitive but also allow us to deliver the highest quality Physiotherapy education available. The tuition fees are also inclusive of many extras; this means there are no hidden costs or additional fees for things like uniform or Clinical Education fees.

In addition, the tuition fees are fixed for your three years at Keele so you can be certain that the amount you would be required to pay will not increase in your second or third years of study.

The tuition fees for those enrolling on the BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy course can be found on International Tuition Fees page.

This fee includes all of the following:

  1. Tuition on the BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy programme.

  2. Clinical uniform.

  3. Student membership of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP).

  4. Occupational Health appointments (for example, vaccinations for Clinical Placement) as required.

  5. Clinical education.

  6. Clinical education travel and accommodation as required.

The only additional costs on top of this are for your living expenses and University accommodation. Estimates of the costs of accommodation and living expenses can be found in the International students pages.

Keele is offering bursaries and scholarships to full-time, self-funding students who can demonstrate a commitment to Keele and an excellent academic profile. Some scholarships may be targeted at specific countries, subjects and talent areas. In some cases you may be required to make an independent application, for others the scholarship will be awarded automatically.

Once you have applied

Once you have sent your application, through the UCAS website, a member of the SHAR international recruitment team will screen your application and be in contact directly should we wish to progress to the interview stage. The interview is always online via Skype unless you are studying or visiting the United Kingdom in which case it can be held at the university. The interview is designed to get to know you better and usually lasts around 25 minutes.

In order to study overseas you will require a visa. If an offer to study at Keele University is made you will also be required to apply for a Police Record check and complete a health screening questionnaire, information for both of which will be sent to you to guide you through the process.
