Assistive technologies in neurological rehabilitation

These sessions are aimed at Health Professionals who have an interest in the use of technology in neurological rehabilitation and evidence based practice. Potential applicants are expected to have some experience working with this client group. All session leads are currently research active and many have substantive clinical experience. Additional support on learning to search the current literature and practical sessions aimed at using some of the technology will be possible. Single days or half days can be taken.

17.00 Demonstration of devices for treatment with electrical stimulation

Day 3

9.00 - 10.30 Muscle length changes


11.00 - 12.30 Contracture correction devices & orthoses tuning

Lunch break

13.00 departure from Keele for 13.30-17.30 session Quantifying gait deviations

9.00 - 11.00 Targeted motor training and virtual reality in rehabilitation - 1


11.30 - 12.30 Critical appraisal/library

Lunch break

13.30 - 15.30 Targeted motor training and virtual reality in rehabilitation - 2
