Biography

I graduated from Staffordshire University in 2008 with a BSc (Hons) in Sport and Exercise Science, opting for a career in the NHS in 2009. I joined the Cardiac Rehabilitation team at the University Hospital of North Midlands (UHNM) in 2013 and completed an MSc in Exercise and Nutrition Science from 2015-2018 at the University of Chester. While working at UHNM, I became involved with Keele as a clinical student educator and guest Lecturer. 

I joined Keele University as a lecturer in 2019, splitting my time as an Exercise Physiologist at UHNM. Becoming a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy in 2020, following completion of a PG Cert in Higher Educational Practice. Furthermore, I have accreditation in Pedagogy of Physiology from the British Association of Sport and Exercise Sciences and Chartered Scientist status.
