Biography

After studying radiography as a mature student I qualified in 1994 and worked most of my clinical career in what is now the University Hospital North Midlands NHS Trust. Early in my career I worked in most areas of diagnostic radiography, ultimately specialising in MRI and then obtaining a PgD in MRI from the University of Lancaster in 2003. Following the introduction of a lead Imaging Cardiologist to UHNM we worked together to develop the Cardiac MRI service at UHNM and I became a Specialist Radiographer in Cardiac Imaging.
Following a brief spell in management, overseeing the expansion of the UHNM MRI department to one of the largest in the country I took up the role of Teaching Fellow in Radiography at Keele in 2019.

Teaching

I teach on a number of modules across the Undergraduate Radiography Course.
