Biography

Anirban is a Chartered Physiotherapist and he completed bachelor’s degree at Calcutta University in India (2002) and a master’s degree at University of Otago in New Zealand (2009) and his PhD at the University of Nottingham, UK (2019). He clinically worked in various settings in different countries and mainly in the field of musculoskeletal, orthopaedic and acute sports rehabilitation. He also worked as a clinical manager in the NHS service, where he still fortnightly runs musculoskeletal and pain clinic.

Anirban joined to Keele University in April 2020 from another HEI. His present role includes teaching musculoskeletal physiotherapy, research methods, and supervision. Anirban is also committed to doing weekly clinical work and some clinical governance at Keele University Physiotherapy Clinic.

Anirban’s present research interests are low back pain, chronic pain, sports injuries, and pedagogical research.
