First Annual Peter Cheeseman Lecture As a tribute to our greatest Theatre Director, this is the first screening of Peter's own illustrated lecture telling the story of the establishment and development of the Victoria then New Vic Theatres. There will also be excerpts from Peter's illustrated talk about "The Knotty" given at the New Vic. Both illustrated presentations draw on the Victoria Theatre Collection - housed within Staffordshire University.

Excerpts from two Theatre-based presentations. Ken Campbell - in his own inimitable style - presents a highly engaging and entertaining tribute to Peter and his work, and Alison - one of our top international Theatre, Opera and Film designers - charts her career from her start at the Vic in Stoke using many illustrations of her work.

The Peter Cheeseman Lectures - Ken Loach, Mike Leigh

Excerpts from two Film-based presentations. Ken Loach talks about Peter's pioneering work in Drama-Documentary and its influence on his own work - citing "Cathy Come Home" and other productions. Oscar-nominated director Mike Leigh celebrates Peter's influence on his film work and discusses his career in conversation with Ray Johnson. This is the final evening of the Staffordshire Film Archive season
