Dreamland: Andri Snaer Magnason

Join us for an exciting lunchtime seminar with Icelandic Environmentalist Andri Snaer Magnason, hosted by the Institute for Sustainable Futures. The talk will take place from 12pm-1pm in the Salvin Room at Keele Hall.

Andri will be discussing his book, Dreamland, which has also been made into a documentary. Dreamland 'details the destruction of our planet in following the heavy industrial trail of carnage involved in smelting aluminium - questioning the relationships that are involved, the hiding of truth for gain, for expediency'.

Andri's many occupations, from running for president and coming third, to being a poet, film producer, actor and reknowned environmentalist, have led him to encounter environmental and social challenges from many directions and disciplines.

Following the lunchtime talk, we will have informal discussions in the Great Hall from 1pm-2pm, so stay behind and continue the conversation with our exciting guest speaker.

The talk is open to students from all disciplines and staff are also welcome.
