Look Out!

Lookout is a unique look into the future through a 8-10 year old’s eyes. One audience member enters into a conversation with a 8-10 year old performer, they look out over the city and imagine the future of the people and the place.

In preparation the young people have been supported through two weeks of intensive work with the artists to think about the future and how to hold a conversation with adults about that.

We're inviting you to join us for 20 minutes on Saturday 16 or Sunday 17 July (11.45pm – last slot 3.15pm) seeing things differently whilst looking out over Newcastle from the David Weatherall Building at Keele University. We'd love the young people to have sold out performances to really support them and make sure they have a wonderful experience.

The tickets are £5 or £4 concessions. Please come along and support, and envision the future of our local landscape – BOOK HERE - now.

If you’re able to attend one of the performances then we’d also love you to invite you to the Lookout Gathering that is taking place on Monday 18 July 1.30-2.30pm, at the Newcastle Common Astley Walk space. Lookout artists, Andy Field and Beckie Darlington are inviting people to attend to hear more about the children’s experience making the project and for you to respond to their visions of the future. Please do let us know if you can attend.

This project is from Appetite, in collaboration with St Luke’s Primary School, Silverdale and artists Andy Field and Beckie Darlington.
