Housing

Living at Keele means never having to have a roommate! Dorms (or “Halls” as they are called in the UK), are made up of single rooms with a shared kitchen. Even though it’s possible to eat entirely in the meal halls, you have the flexibility to choose to eat in or out. All Halls are co-ed, and have a common room, as well as a student run council that organizes a range of events including parties, film or quiz nights, and sports. There are 33 resident tutors living on campus, who are on call nights and weekends. They are supported by a team of residential managers who are on call 24 hours a day- no problem to big or small! Kitchens and common areas are cleaned once a week by the cleaning staff, with student rooms cleaned every two weeks- cutting down on arguments about dirty kitchens!

Horwood Hall is one of the largest halls on campus- nearly 750 students live here. The Hall is located in-between woodland and Keele’s many lakes, making it a great place to enjoy the beautiful setting. There’s a laundrette, student bar (with TV and pool table), and the Postgraduate bar (the KPA) all within easy walking distance.  The KPA is famous for its’ music nights and big, cheap sandwiches! Click here for more information about Horwood.

Lindsay Hall is on the south end of campus with views across the countryside. It houses over 700 students and is only a few minutes walk from the centre of campus. The Lindsay Café Bar serves drinks and food, and has a pool room and a TV. There’s also a shop, which means that Lindsay students have it all on their doorstep! You can find out more information about Lindsay Hall here.
