UniWorld available to licence

The Heist Gold Award winning CD Rom UniWorld is now available to other HEIs under licence. Keele University is offering other HEIs the opportunity to buy a licence to use UniWorld, which allows the product to be branded with the name of the licensing institution and use it in local schools. The licence fee is modest in comparison to development costs.

Planet Campus now online

A new teaching resource called 'Planet Campus' is now online. Planet campus is a teaching resource aimed at KS3 students. This interactive web site is based around a story-based activity, focussing on the academic and social aspects of university life.

UniWorld wins prestigious award

The Heist awards started in 1998, with a single award for best prospectus: they have since grown to encompass 12 varied categories, including 'Widening Participation Strategy in Higher Education' for which Keele received the gold award. The qualities judges were looking for in this category were, among others: ‘good practice’, ‘appeal to target group’ and ‘value for money’.

The judges had this to say about UniWorld:
"A fun way to learn about HE with great appeal to the target group, judges spent a happy hour or so playing the CD game... This entry showed good clear background research and checking to provide a rationale for targeting Year 8 school pupils....A very marketable communications product...."
