Comments from our students give you a flavour of what it’s like to live at Barnes...

Barnes Hall is a very exciting and green place to live. Located between the Medical School and Chancellor's Building and close to the Sports Centre, Barnes Hall is an ideal place for undergraduate and postgraduate students.  You can choose between a variety of different accommodation.  If you want to share your accommodation with other three friends, Barnes' spacious flats are probably what you are looking for.  The hall provides various facilities such as car parking spaces, a 24-hour launderette and a recycling point.  There is also a very active Islamic Faith centre.  If you want to meet your friends, watch TV or simply have a cup of tea and relax you can pop into The Sty common room.  After dinner, you can also enjoy the music and have a drink at the popular Barnes Hall bar, The Pig and Rat.

I am a postgraduate & this was my first time living in Halls.  I was in one of the 'study flats' with some amazing flat mates!  Barnes has to be the best Hall on campus & of course we have the best Halls bar right outside.

The Pig & Rat!  Being just a few minutes' walk to lectures, the Sports Centre &, of course, the Union is an added bonus.  There's a brilliant community feel in Barnes & the common room & laundry facilities here, make it that much more of a home from home.  One word: AWESOME!
